Audio

The patient cannot hear the technologist, but the music is ok.
Check the control room mic, make sure the on/off switch is depressed and the cable is securely connected. Observe the bar graph on the remote while talking into the mic, the audio level should display.

The technologist cannot hear the patient, but the patient can hear the tech and music.
Make sure the small speaker is securely connected to the back of the amplifier jack marked "Patient Speaker". Squeeze the squeeze ball, if the tone is audible, the headset microphone might be bad. Contact Resonance Technology immediately to arrange a service call.

Sound is audible on only one side of the Patient Headset.
First, check to see if both sides of the bar graph on the both the remote control, and the transducer, located in the magnet room, are correctly displaying.
If all the audio levels display correctly in the transducer, then the problem could be with the headphone or transducer box.

Video

I have sound on my system but there is no video in the glasses.
Make sure the power button on the Video Transducer Box (located in the magnet room) is in the "On" position. The transducer is on when the "On" light is lit.

There is power in the video transducer but there is still no video displayed in the glasses.
Check to make sure the "Video" indicator light on the Video Transducer Box is lit. This indicates the presence of a video signal. If "Video" light is not lit, check that connections from the video source are secure and that the video source is on. If problem persists, please call our Support team.

The video displayed in the glasses only displays on one side.
Turn off power on the Video Transducer Pox and check that the connection from the glasses to the Video Trandsucer Box is secure. If problem persists, please contact Support.

The Video indicator light on the Video Transducer Box is off and there is no picture in the glasses.
Check to make sure the video out of the VCR in the control room is connected and if the fiber optic link is used, make sure the LED "On" indicator is lit in both the transmitter and receiver box.

The video in the glasses flickers during the scan.
There is a ground loop between the control room and the filter panel. Plug all A/V equipment in the scanner console outlet and also clip the ground prong of the power strip.

How do we hear the sound output of the TV in the control room?
Select the "MD" mode on the Stereo system.

Can the patient watch TV in the glasses while listening to CD or Radio?
Yes. There is a selector switch on the front of the Audio Amp. This switch determines the audio source to the patient's headset. Select "Audio" for CD, Radio, Tape or "Video" to hear the audio from the VCR/DVD or TV tuner.
